These are the peeon's

Verizon confirms to us this means there will be a few customers who don't get to play along, including entry level 1Mbps/384kbps DSL customers, and customers with 10Mbps or 15Mbps FiOS connections
What! I guess it should say "Verizon offers Free Wi-Fi to 'some' broadband customers"

what a scam, why not offer it to all or none....really

AT&T used to not offer free WiFi on their lowest-speed DSL offering.

Raeally though, it's a higher-tier perk. You'd normally pay $10 or so per month to Boingo for the same access, so all told it's a good deal and I really don't see why anyone has their panties in a wad about not getting $10 WiFi included with their $20 DSL connection.

Though it *does* seem a little odd that 10/2 and 15/5 FiOS customers wouldn't get WiFi when 3 Mbps DSL customers (which pay a good bit less per month) do.
