Re: netTalk tk6000

Looks like they just got their current website last month.

But the company was incorporated in Florida a few years ago, and changed its name from Discover Screens.

They have been applying for CLEC licenses in various states.

And here's something interesting:

Looks like they are asking the Florida authorities to approve this change:

An interconnection agreement between Verizon and YMax (MagicJack) now exists. NetTalk will adopt the same agreement with Verizon as well.

They are also doing this in other states.

Interesting that they are based in Miami, same town as MagicJack/YMax.

Net Talk.Com, Inc. announced delayed 10-Q filing-----
On 06/30/2009, Net Talk.Com, Inc. announced that they will be unable to file their next 10-Q by the deadline required by the SEC.

Net Talk.Com, Inc. Auditor Raises 'Going Concern' Doubt----
Net Talk.Com, Inc. filed its Annual on February 09, 2009 for the period ending September 30, 2008. In this report its auditor, KBL LLP, gave an unqualified opinion expressing doubt that the company can continue as a going concern.

I doubt anyone really gives a !$()@*#$% about the company, but that little ATA is very interesting.

I think the company would be very interesting IF it turns out to have business dealings with MagicJack.

Two big scam red flags... Only thing that would make it worse than Miami is if they were in Boca or Ft. Lauderdale. This area seems to be a hot bed for scams and spam..

Interesting catch on the document.

It seems more likely to me that they just copied it and were sloppy but also there could be some SJLabs former engineers involved here since the device is so similar. Overall, it seems a little more amateurish than MagicJack at least on the surface level.

Magic Jack/ymax is located in West Palm Beach. 2 addresses I found were: 223 Sunset Avenue, Suite 223, Palm Beach, FL 33480 and P.O. Box 6846, West Palm Beach, FL. (Bernie's backyard?). Cust. Service confirmed.

Hey guys, I found this topic in a Google search and thought I might answer a few of your questions:

1. netTALK has nothing to do with magicJack. Nothing at all. The company may be from the same geographic location, but the similarities end there - magicJack is a reseller of another VOIP carrier, netTALK owns 100% of its own equipment and is a true CLEC.

2. The company itself was incorporated a few years ago and is about to be a public company - it's being accomplished through a reverse merger (that's the Discover Screens connection). The product has been in development for some time.

3. The TK6000 is a true SIP device, so the service is more like Vonage than magicJack. magicJack is simply a cheap audio device that works with a soft phone. With netTALK there is NO SOFTWARE to install on your PC - you just plug it into your Ethernet port and start dialing. You can use it through the USB port like magicJack if you don't have a spare ethernet port, but there is still no software to install, it detects as a network device, bridges the connection to your existing network card, and gets to the Internet to make the calls through there.

4. The website is relatively new, an infomercial is being tested right now. I don't particularly care for the direct response model but whatever.

5. The $99 price is for the device, not the service - the local & long distance service for 3 years just happens to be included at no charge. Remember, this is a public company but if that doesn't quell any concerns of whether or not they'll be around or not just keep in mind that this is not proprietary software - it's a true SIP device that uses standard VOIP protocols, so it could technically be configured to work with pretty much any VOIP carrier.

MJ is a reseller of another voip carrier: FALSE

If you really want to know what TK6000/netTALK is all about, you should research "Interlink Global" and "Anastasios Kyriakides". Kyriakides is CEO of netTALK and was CEO of now defunct Interlink Global. Interlink Global, founded in 2002, had a lot of VOIP/telecommunications history you can read about on the net. Apparently, TK6000/netTALK was/is simply an extension/expansion of what they already did with a new device.

The link below provides pretty up to date info about netTALK.com, it's previous life as Interlink Global, and it's current finances and plans:

»biz.yahoo.com/e/090731/138382510-q.html

Apparently, Interlink Global's creditors seized it's assets which were then sold to an advertising company that took the name of one of Interlink's subsidiaries, netTALK, and is proceeding with Interlink's plan to promote the TK6000. Interesting story and interesting reading.

Tons of reading here: »www.secinfo.com/d14D5a.s3F9j.htm#5gul

History of the company, who they contract with to make the TK6000, their plans to begin serious marketing of their product in the next month, they are a CLEC in 25 states, etc.
