Re: wow Yeah, that leaves me out of the game. My Nokia N810 wi-fi internet tablet runs on a Linux based OS. So, I'm SOL. If it wern't for the application being needed to connect, I would have been set. I got as far as creating an account, but when it went to download the app, it said sorry this application will only run on Windows XP and Vista. Not everybody wants to lug around a 3-4 lb. netbook/laptop. Verizon wanted to make sure that they didn't threaten their very profitable wireless cash cow. Would had been nice though if this would had been supported for hand held devices. Most of the places that I have been in the mid-atlantic region had poor Boingo/AT&T coverage anyway, so most people will not be able to take advantage of this, unless they live in a large metropolitan area. |
