Re: Doesn't ATT get it? Why? When you purchase an iPhone with service through AT&T, you agree to those terms. If you don't like the terms of the contract, don't purchase the product.
You have a choice as to which wireless carrier to use, which phone to purchase. Neutrality covers a broader concept as you don't have a choice which way your data is routed through other systems.

Phones and carriers are supposed to be separate to give consumers as much choice as possible. Carriers should compete on network service and price, phone manufacturers should compete on phone quality and price, and consumers should benefit from it all.
Yes, you don't *have* to buy anything. This is also true in China, where the communist government doesn't force a poor rural farmer to buy the latest phone with his life savings. |
