Hold that trial in this area, and AT&T will lose majorly. In this area of NC, if you get more than one or two miles from an interstate or other MAJOR highway you get no signal, or if you have a tri mode phone (do they still sell those?) you will get switched over to analog.
Around here AT&T has no leg to stand on with this claim. More Bars.... BAH!
I recently made a trip from Greensboro to Knoxville on I-40. I lost 3G a few miles to the west of Winston-Salem and didn't get it back until Knoxville. When I had Verizon I had EVDO almost the whole way. Pathetic.
