Is this one of the same guys who's been meeting with Obama to make sure that the proposed health care system will be an absolute geyser of money for all the special interest groups involved is "fair?"
Certainly I'd like to believe that a nationalized health care system would be better than what we have now, but the evidence for socialized medicine is glaringly to the contrary. Spend some time in the UK and you'll see what I mean when health care is treated as a "right" rather than as a scarce good that needs to be paid for.
Michael Moore makes a point, but personally, I'm not convinced that putting the feds in charge of something you care about is the way to go here. Their track record when it comes to running stuff (and grossly underestimating costs) is somewhat less than impressive. -- Singing "O Willow Waly" By the tree that weeps with me

No. Although I'm sure opponents of healthcare reform are trying to tie him to it somehow.

Why do I have the feeling that the only thing that is going to be "reformed" are the pockets of the taxpayers (i.e. they're going to be lightened of their already light load of money)? I've still yet to hear exactly how all of this is going to be paid for, just the usual phony, flowery talk about how great its all going to be.
This fiscal year, for example, the combined unfunded liability of Social Security and Medicare will be in the range of $75 trillion. And now these same jerks want to keep on spending money that we do not have.
I suppose if there happen to be cost overruns down the road, that's okay: we'll just write the grandkids another IOU and keep on truckin'.

I'm sorry, sir. I don't believe those politicians, I do not trust them, and I don't plan to ask anything of them. YMMV. -- Singing "O Willow Waly" By the tree that weeps with me
