I like this program, but...
Is SAS ready for 64-bit systems yet?

We have another version in internal testing with full Native 64-bit and Windows 7 support - it will be available in the next month for pre-release and likely release.

Wow, that only took what over TWO YEARS of internal testing with the same story about how we are almost nearing completion of a full "Windows XP 64-bit Edition and Windows Vista 64-bit Edition" copy of SuperAntiSpyware. You'll forgive myself and others here for not believing any posts regarding completion on 64-bit SAS with full 64-bit driver support. Tell me, did you even work on completing support for XP64 and VISTA64? Or are you simply dropping support for these OS's alltogether in favour of Windows 7 only? Ridicoulous! After all this time SAS has had to produce a 64-bit version.... and after TWO 64-bit operating system releases later from Microsoft, you're claming again near completion of SAS 64-bit.

Unless you are willing to post some development change log that shows information on 64-bit development, don't post stuff like what you just posted here. It's fast becoming rather stale news on SAS's part.

At no point did we ever say we were dropping support for Vista (64 or 32 bit) or XP (64 or 32 bit) - you posting that is what is "ridicoulous" - what you are doing is posting false information - please don't do that regarding my company and/or products.

Unlike many applications that claim 64-bit by making a module or two 64-bit, we actually took the time to produce native 64-bit applications, drivers and components so XP, Vista and Windows 7.

You may have never run a company or had a product with over 20 million users, but for me, who does, I have to direct our development towards the markets that have the majority of users - the 64 bit XP market was very small, the 64-bit Vista market is now growing and the Windows 7 64-bit market will likely have continued steady growth. Thus, we are providing support.

I hope that clears up an mis-information and/or questions. If you have further questions, I am more than happy to address them!

No actually, what I posted is entirely correct information, and you are quite rather well demonstarting here what users who request info on 64-bit support have to go through to get any actual USEFULL information from SAS techical support... which in the end turns out to be rather useless and "RIDICOULOUS". 64-bit support was put on the back burner for a long long time now. Unless your company has some rather detailed information on your SAS 64-bit development... let's not play this waiting game again please. Posting "CLAIMS" about 64-bit support is not helpful without info.

Where are the development logs on 64-bit support?

Your company has misrepresented itself many times in claiming it's near completion with full 64-bit software for over two years now, failing to provide any kind of reliable time line. Anyone can EASILY verify this by looking through all the old SAS support tickets, and support forum posts. I can't provide you with more info about this since I won't post personal dialogs between myself and your customer support department. I'm not interested in hearing about how your company runs as you're company provided users with false claims on near XP64 bit support completion and Vista64 bit completion which never came to fruition. So unless you are willing to provide us with some useful information on your claims... stop posting that 64-bit crap.

I guess you didn't understand my previous post. I am not sure how I can make things more clear - we prioritize releases on what the MARKET MAJORITY needs. We have had internal 64-bit drivers and applications for quite some time - we are NOT required to release those until we see it right for the market, nor are we required to post "development logs" which you keep referring to. We are also not required to prove anything to you, nor release proprietary information regarding our development.

Of course you have no interest in how we run our company or why we make our decisions, but the MAJORITY of people do and that is why I take the time to provide honest and legit explanations and information - so the type of rant you post can be clarified so people can see it for what it is - you being in the MINORITY of people wanting to try and "catch us at something" is funny because there is nothing to catch us at - we are a reputable company, with a solid product, over 20 million users and we work hard to provide solid products to the market.

At stated previously, our next public release will have 64-bit support and Windows 7 support.

Re: [App Update] SUPERAntiSpyware Program Update v.4.27.1000

As usual I think you failed to understand any of my previous posts. Just like SAS technical support, you fail to provide any useful information to back up your constant advertising.

Sure.
I would say in all actuality that no one will see a 64-bit version until later this year. No wait perhaps sometime in 2010... let's just go with 2011. Who really knows anymore right? Guess the "minority" of 64-bit users are outta luck as usual. Keep dishing out the 64bit fluff! Good day.
