[XP] Modem Log Entry

Hello.

Please assist me to identify a particular Modem Log Entry.

When I review the Connection Logs from my Westell Modem, I occasionally see entries labeled DNS: Unknown host: followed by either an apparent website like 'missouripulse.com' or 'gm.myhome.westell.com' that includes westell.com in the apparent address.

Please advise me what these entries indicate. Some of the entries are from sites that I am practically sure I have not visited.

Thank you.

Looks like you modem is trying to contact something at those address but they don't resolve to anything (tested here same) so its giving the error.

Is GM the name of your computer or a device on your network? Myhome.westell.com is the default domain name some westell routers come configured with IIRC. It's also possible that you visited a page that linked to content to a non-existent domain. You might not have explicitly requested a page from missouripulse.com, but a webpage you did visit might have.

Posting the full message might be a little more helpful.
