| Weird connection prob
I have a strange problem whilst online gaming (counterstrike source)
I could be playing for 5 mins or 2+ hours when I get game freeze then eventual 'connection problem' in red text top right of screen. I have to quit out of the game and normally find my internet has dropped out ie the icon bottom right desktop says 'local only'.
Sometimes I can reconnect and restart the game, other times I have to reboot the router or the PC or both!
I assume this maybe either my Isp/line dropping badly or the game itself or my pc connection within the pc hardware. What I dont understand is I can reboot the game once my internet connection is up and join any server apart from the one I was just playing.
As it is normally the server I run
myself, I can easily check if I am just frozen and still logged into the game but its never the case.
I have tried joining other CSS servers which work fine but still cannot join mine? I end up having to delete my localcal 'clientregistry.blob' (a steam app file) before I can rejoin the server I was on!
I dont mind the odd dropped connection but this is ridiculous
