| Jailbreaking != Hacking the baseband Lots of people jailbreak and leave the baseband alone. While jailbreaking is an obvious first hurdle, once jailbroken it's no different than a Blackberry or Windows Mobile device where arbitrary code can be run without authorization.
Good point on the baseband issue, though, Apple. There's a good way to stop all the baseband hacking efforts and protect national security - officially unlock the damn phone.
