by insisting in a closed platform Apple doesn't make it any less 'dangerous', you just limit it to the people clever enough to break in, and you're limiting the development potential for the device. I think the work of the dev-team just proves that point time and time and again. If they're worried about iPhone's becoming security risks to the network nothing is stopping them from writing proper firewall software to avoid this sort of thing
