Re: Details on the 10 yr Microsoft - Yahoo serach/ad deal Google, in a supreme bit of hypocrisy, claims the MS-Yahoo deal is bad for competition. This is the same Google that last year claimed a Yahoo-Google deal was made in heaven and good for all mankind.

 | Actually Google is being quite honest. If you understood the psychology of Brin and Page, as well as Schmidt you'd realize they were completely sincere when they tried to partner up with Yahoo. At the time Microsoft was trying to buy Yahoo and Google was the one who prevented that deal from happening. They actually honest-to-goodness prefer the market have more competitors, not less, because they have confidence in the superiority of their products and because they have the mindset and ethics of the "little guy".
Microsoft combining with Yahoo is stupid. Combining 2 inferior technologies does not suddenly make a better one. All this does is consolidate the market even further and increase Yahoo's already handsome profit margins. |

Re: Details on the 10 yr Microsoft - Yahoo serach/ad deal I trust Google way more than M$. In fact, antitrust arguments could be made to keep M$ out of the search business. |
