I switched From Virgin to Sprint

I switched from Virgin Mobile to Sprint after about 1 week because I was initially using $20 per week of prepaid time. Earlier this year, Sprint let me switch to an el cheapo 200 minute per month single phone plan. Sprint is willing to come down on their price if your economy shrinks but they do not advertise the el cheapo plans unless you ask about them. Like most other merchants, they will try to sell their more expensive stuff first.

Also, the Virgin phone kept shutting itself off even though I had programmed it not to do so. After about 3 months and well before the initial minutes expired the phone that I bought went senile.

The two Sanyo SCP-2400 phones that I bought from Sprint have proved to be very rugged. The one that I used the most has survived:

1. Several drops to the floor.

2. Slipped out of my pocket and into the snow when I slipped of a tree root getting into my car. After snow melted kind neighbor found it and called one of my contacts.

3. Has survived a dunk in the toilet. Took it right out, removed the battery, put the phone and battery on top of a fluid filled radiator type electric heater.
