charlesa920 posted : Tried it at home (where I have a BUL2 w/Omni on roof) and it would not associate. I got a little frustrated and walked away... when I came back it was associated and able to pass traffic.

Perhaps it takes it a while to associate the first time. I used it at home for a day and night where it worked.

Next step is to take it back in the field and be prepared to exercise patience.

Charles

thewisperer posted : I have only one in the field. I configured it as router and I am unable to reach it remotely.

I remember one strange thing about the interface. The only way to enter an ssid is to do a scan, locate one, click on the mac and then save it.

If you enter the ssid by hand, the save window does not appear in my case.

Could it be you did not save settings.
charlesa920 posted : I am using mostly tranzeo as AP with a few Tranzeo as CPE but mostly Ubiquity (NS2 & Loco).

thought I'd try a few of the EnGenius EOC-2610. I did not convert to DD_WRT. but stayed with their newest firmware 1.0.39

Logging in and configuring was pretty straight forward.
-client Router
-LAN, nothing new there just 192.168.100.1 tripple 255, handing out more of the same
-WAN, static IP set in same range and sub net as the rest of my network

so I take it into the field, do a site survey which see's my tower. I select it and it accepts it by showing the name and the MAC is the correct one.

I am not used to their signal strength ratings but I'm sure the signal was strong enough as I parked near it and had it in plain view.

BUT I'm not associated? At least it indicated in the connection status that it was down. Plus the link level lights were not on (the power and LAN and WAN lights were lit)

So I"m back at the shop now and the WAN settings indicate a "Static IP" and I can see the IP & DNS numbers I entered... but when I go to the "MAIN" page the IP Address is blank and the sub-net is 0.0.0.0. All the while it is showing the LAN numbers correctly. every time I refresh the page it shows a different channel number in the "Current Wireless Settings"

sorry to ask such a newbie question but their www does not have any help, their user manual is outdated and doesn't show the same menus I have with this new firmware (4-30-09).

You know I fully expected it to associate and surf when I found my tower/AP.

How about it? Any body been down this road before? any ideas?
thanks
