[Help Me] connection

hi i need help i don't know much about where things should go so here is my problem

:i have a D Link WBR 1310 i need to know how to plug it into my pc using a comcast modem when i hook it up i get a message saying "network cable unplugged" where do all these wires go ...HELP PLEASE

 You did not give very much information.

Plug the modem into the port marked WAN. Plug the computer into one of the other ports.

Restart the router. Run the windows network setup wizard.

Assuming you are using windows.
