As expected, Republican nominee Meredith Attwell Baker was sworn in Friday as the newest FCC commissioner. The time was 2:20 p.m., with FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski doing the honors in his office, according to the FCC.
That leaves only South Carolina Public Utility Commissioner Mignon Clyburn. The FCC confirmed an earlier B&C report that she would be sworn in Monday in South Carolina. That gets the FCC to 4 commissioners. And the last one(a Dem) will be sworn in on Monday.
