| [AB] Telus Turbo not getting constant speed (between 6-11 mbps)
I upgraded from Enhanced to Turbo when I moved into my new house. A tech was dispatched and he checked all the wiring inside the house. He said the power line was close by about a block away from my house. The max speed I was getting was around 11 mbps. However the past couple of days I've been getting anywhere between 6-11 mbps.
The tech also mentioned that Turbo is pretty new to my area, so maybe this is the reason why it's unstable right now? Does anyone know why this is happening. Thanks
Btw I am using a 2wire modem |

call tech support and have them dispatch a new tech, the last one didn't install it properly. I would gander you are missing the PotsFilter (Black). -- The views expressed herein are that of my own and not necessarily that of my employer or any associated entities. |

2 edits | If it's a house and has a protector on the side the POTS splitter will look like this.
If the POTS splitter is inside the dwelling it will look like this
There are two older types of POTS splitters we've used over the years in BC...but I can't find any pics to post. |

They actually did yank the holiday in alberta, but I still get it off, so yeah, it'll be tuesday when I look.
I know a couple of you guys on here are CSRs, what criteria do you use for selecting the low delay vs max delay profiles? The last person I helped was on the max delay and it was causing speed instablility that cleared up when I moved him to low delay, the oppisite of what you'd expect? -- The views expressed herein are that of my own and not necessarily that of my employer or any associated entities. |

| Patience Ali. Playboy is breaking rules and risking his job to help you out.
Perhaps he wasn't in wednesday. Perhaps he hasn't had a chance to log in here lately (he has a home life outside of work - maybe he's having quality time with family).
He'll get the info to you soon, I am sure. Remember, he's doing this, without being paid, because he wants to help people. |

| I sent you a PM on Tuesday. Everything looks ok, your sync is over 17mbps and your on the low delay profile. Try swapping out the modem (Its no secret that the 2wire is a POS) -- The views expressed herein are that of my own and not necessarily that of my employer or any associated entities. |
