Re: This MP3 player just get any iPod that you can afford. they're not that expensive and there's a reason why the only competitor (barely) is a company that can afford to dump millions into marketing waiting years for a turnout. |

Just because you only know about mp3 players you've seen on TV commercials doesn't mean there aren't any others In addition to Sansa's budget players, Cowon, Sony, and Samsung have some very solid high-end players out right now, and Creative just announced one with some extremely impressive specs (32GB + SDHC, X-Fi, bluetooth, GPS, wifi, HD camera, built-in speaker and mic, HDTV out...and an open-source OS).
I just can't imagine recommending an $80 4GB screenless player (Apple's cheapest one) to someone looking for something inexpensive. It's so overpriced, unless you have a burning need to either use iTunes or lighten your load by 3/4 of an ounce. -- Join the DSLR Kiva team! |

I've owned 8 players since 2001 and used others belonging to friends and family, from Apple, Meizu, iRiver, Archos, Cowon, and Sansa. Believe me... I know what is inferior and what is overpriced.
But hey, if you want to spend double on a player with fewer features, go right ahead. -- Join the DSLR Kiva team! |
