| [HN7000S] Speeds get slow during the day
I get good speeds early in the morning. About 1000 download. As the day progresses, they get slower until at night they around 200. I called Hughes and they told me that this was caused by a large amount of traffic as the day goes by. Any ideas about how i can remedy this? |

IAny ideas about how i can remedy this? By subscribing to any service other than a shared bandwidth system such as consumer grade satellite. The problem exists, regardless of provider. And if your choices are absolutely nothing other than dialup or satellite, the only option is to pay for a higher grade of satellite service. But be warned: once you leave consumer-grade, we're talking hundreds (to thousands) of dollars a month

| reply to Bumper12 Schedule large downloads for the FAP - free time, as many of us have learned to do. Browsing speed WILL slow down during periods of high activity (kids coming home from school, people getting home from work, etc). Nothing you can do about that but live with it and be glad you're not on dialup. I know I am. -- HN7000S/PRO Plan/93W - 1039/.74m dish/1 watt |
