Transmit my private data over some insecure and unencrypted WiFi connection, so that some wardriving bozo can use Kismet and Aircrack on it? No thanks. Also, if $20 = a real IP address + a CONSISTENT connection + respectable upload speed + low pings (yay for FastPath!) without the need for a shitty phone line, I'll be more than willing to cough up the dough. By the way, this isn't meant for heavy users (although I personally am on it and it more than sufficiently fulfills the requirements for hosting a small-scale FTP/SVN/SSH server).... it's meant for people looking to save money in a tight economy. Translation: it's not meant to be the PRIMARY connection for the types who browse BBR on a regular basis.
