Helping a lady who has a Cricket Internet Plug and just lately, all desktop and in folder Icons went to Cricket icon and all Icons lead to the startup of Cricket Internet. No files in computer now go to their programs and all ask to go on internet to find out how to open them. Has anyone had this experience? Norton had expired. She had a problem with anytime she used the shift key, her picture program opened up. I suspected a virus but she could not afford another. Had her use the Norton removal tool off line and was after reboot to install a free antivirus. Reboot left her with no icons or shortcuts working for any programs.
Slaved her drive in another computer and ran antivirus scan. 6 trojans and one spyware removed. But cannot get computer to work properly. Any suggestions?

reply to jhamiltontr user profile might be corrupted, did you try creating another profile to check if it is working fine? If not, you might have to repair the install. all this assuming the trojans removed do not warrant reformating
