| The phone comes with a short (4" or so) 3.5mm adapter that also has a button so you can pause, skip, etc. I actually prefer this to a 3.5mm jack on the phone - I get an in-line remote that I can use with any headphones.
I was eligible for an upgrade so I pre-ordered this phone in July and got it last week - loving it so far. It is my first Android phone, and it is light-years ahead of the Blackberry I switched from.

yes Google doesn't allow some apps. Such as the device being thethered. You should know that by now since it was covered before on the last GoogleOS phone.
But since it was a Google product it was okay and doesn't need any gov't regulation such as the iPhone. |

FYI, Google isn't allowing it to be in the the Android Marketplace, but it can be freely downloaded on the web because this phone isn't locked down/need to be jailbroken like the iPhone.

Google doesn't allow tethered apps in the Google market place, but since Google market is one of many places to get apps for the Android you can easily get the tethered apps from a number of legitimate places. The Android market place is not centralized under one roof like Apple's iPhone, and Google has no problem if you get your apps from some other market place, but it is better to get your apps from Android Market place because then you have some quality assurance. |

Sorry i don't use Apple Products, nor do i use Google Products. As for phone service I use Boost/Nextel. How is that a fanboy of Apple? LMAO!
Hell i wouldn't touch that iPhone nor G1 or G2 with a ten foot pole. Especially after dealing with both ATT Wireless/Mobility and T-Mobile.
And it does matter. Google pulled that app which makes them NO better than Apple. The only difference is Google for NOW lets you reinstall it. But also reserves the right to disable your device if you read that article. Now, how is that fair for the customer/consumer and any better than Apple? |

| I don't see what Google did any different than Apple. Both pulled Applications from their stores because either they or the Carrier did NOT want them on the network/being offered.
But Google fanboys don't have a problem with it. But when it comes to another company that does the same thing all of a sudden there are problems with it being done. Regardless if you can still download and install the product. It comes down to the fact that both companies pulled applications due to they did not what it for what ever reason! AFTER it was already on the store and being offered.
And google takes it farther by saying they can disable the phone or installing unapproved applications? WTF! you bought the damn paper weight what gives them the right to brick it? Apple doesn't do that they just want a law on their side.

Google can do what ever it wants on their app store because you CAN get things outside. They don't have a monopoly regarding where you can get/download/buy apps.
Apple SHOULD NOT be able to pull apps because you CAN'T get things outside. Apple DOES have a monopoly on where you can get/download/buy apps. Jail breaking wouldn't even be possible without a 3rd party team constantly working to destroy Apple.
