Re: slow load/timeout google maps since uverse Go to "Network Connections" and find the connecton that you are using (NIC or wireless). Right click on that connection and select Properties. Slide the right hand bar down until you see Internet Protocol and click ONCE on that - then select Properties. In the lower part of this box is where you select "Use the following DNS.....". Then you enter the IP address of the DNS server you want to use and the alternate.
Be careful as this can mess up your Internet access.
If you screw things up, just go back to that last box and return to the default "Obtain DNS server address automatically" and that will fix your mistake. |
