| [General] Finally spoke with an advanced tech from Verizon I finally got to speak to an advanced tech from Verizon today, after I requested to speak to an advanced tech yesterday, who looked over and send my trouble ticket up a step above her. Anyway, it appears the PRL 51059 that I received was an US Cellular PRL, thus I was using a US Cellular tower. That's why my speeds got even worse (equivalent to using dial up at 28.8k). Tech said she would try to send a PRL to me (she said I would need an Alltel PRL), but said she may have to do it another way if I don't receive it through the computer tomorrow (because I am on the US Cellular tower).
While this explains my current issue, it doesn't explain the speeds all the times before. I'm going to see if the new PRL works though when I receive it. |

 | You need 51495 here:
You may have to rename the file 51495.prl
Disconnect and hit ctrl+d on the Quicklink Moblie screen and type 000000 (6 zeros) hit enter. Then you should have a manual activation screen pop up type 000000 (6 zeros) again and then at the bottom find were the prl file is saved on your computer ( I alway save them to desktop) and enter the file there and hit activate and you will have the latest prl. |

| I was actually able to go to the Verizon store and have ordered a replacement EC168 since the PRL didn't go through (what tech told me to do, and no charge to me). I thought about changing the PRL, but I didn't know how to switch the file to PRL. It's probably easy to do, but I've had enough problems with this merger. I just want everything to work. Hopefully the store should receive the new EC168 in a few days. |
