Re: speed

Of course you can, when in your market apples are competing against oranges. Comcast doesn't have special FiOS-area tiers like Cox does, so it's perfectly acceptable to pit FiOS against Comcast pricing-wise as long as both are in your region.

·WOW Internet and..

you can't compare when you factor in a hand full of cities verse Comcast upgrading ALL of their footprint. There are HUGE amounts of customers that still belong to VZ that will NEVER EVER see FiOS and will be stuck on DSL forever or until VZ upgrades them in the next 15-20years well after cable would have already upgraded their entire footprints to FTTH to more than out due and pass VZ and ATT.

·Comcast

My logic still stands. In areas where Comcast is competing with FiOS their product and pricing are inferior.

Also, Qwest's new VDSL2 packages are comparable to Comcast price-wise, and upload speeds are 5+ Mbps across the board. Again, Qwest isn't deploying these everywhere but Comcast isn't dreaming up special tiers to compete with Qwest in areas that are served.

That's only for places where there's muni fiber...
