Re: Is Aion worth it? said by Nightfall Yea, Bill Roper is getting a lot of flack because of the Hellgate London fiasco. What people don't like to acknowledge is that he was at the helm at Blizzard for such hits like Starcraft, Diablo, and Warcraft.

This just shows how fickle the gaming community can be. He has one unfortunate landslide on his mountain of pure awesome and the interwebs try to crucify the guy. -- Intel 2.66 Core2 Quad | Asus P5QL-E | Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer | BFGTech GeForce 8800Ultra 768 | 3GB Corsair 800Mhz DDR2 | ThermalTake Tough Power 850W | ThermalTake V1 'Butterfly' Heatpipe | ThermalTake Tsunami chassis | 150GB WD Raptor X | |

I was aware that the guy responsible for Hellgate is the same guy at least partially responsible for the aforementioned Blizz hits.
The vitriol thats being spewed about Bill is more about the subscription plan Hellgate had than the game itself from what I've read. Some of the posters, especially on Blues News, think Bill is little more than a common criminal.

People who bought a lifetime subscription at the beginning got just enough to break even when they closed down. However, you can't blame the entire situation on Roper.
