Since ive been having trouble with AT&T for awhile now because they said dsl is available but its really not, They said I am on a list for dsl to come down our road "someday". anyone know what kind of list this is or is it something they tell the people that want dsl so they can shut up? I think its a blacklist but really not sure . If cable comes down the road thanks to that broadband stimulus plan, most likely im gona switch to vonage thanks to all the hassle att has gave me throughout the year.

Switching would probably be best, as soon as it is available. Maybe it will cut down on the frustration that way.

Not sure what you are referring to here but you will have to go through the necessary steps regardless of who you choose.

Or is it that you just wanted to complain in general?

I got about $200 in "credits" with att because they were charging me every month for dsl that was not even available. If I go order dsl from juno or netzero, They will probably say ur service is activated even though att never activated it. thats what i meant abour the runaround since att dont communicate very well with sales and the people who activate the dsl.

I am doubtful that you would lose anything since they are different organizations altogether.

Only thing I will probably lose is time. Im just fed up after everything. I remember that one day it said dsl is available on the att site. Signed up for it the first day, got premium shipping for the modem and cables and was waiting for activation day to come. activation day passed so I called and they did test but they couldn't test it so they sent out a tech. tech said dsl was not available so called 2 get back my money. sales lady said dsl is available and they dont know they cancelled the order and she places the order again. activation day went by, called att, sent another field tech, no dsl they say, cancel order.

they did that 4 more times after I told them the whole story but they still wanted to try. I thought I would be able to get them by saying its available but its not but in fine print it said not responsible if site or att people say dsl is available but really isnt. what att did was and i didnt like it. hate to go through it all over again with netzero or juno dsl. att would only give me basic and thats like 758kbps and netzero and juno is offering dsl at 1.5mbps. you do the math.

It seems unlikely that netzero or juno will be able to do what you say they offer. After all, they would be using the exact same copper wire that AT&T would be using.

Your dime, your choice.
