The story...
*** News Flash *** [as seen on news casts]...
Terrorists have taken over the local dam in the city of Rotterdam...
We now go live to our local correspondent... Jenny..
Jenny: Are we on air yet?
TV A/V guy[off camera]: I don't know its my first day using this da*, **cking piece of **it camera...ah..um..hello..can you here me..
Voice over news reporter's ear piece comes a booming YES! your on air...camera is rolling...
oh **it...
This is Jenny Smith, reporting to you live at the local RotterDam city dam, where a group of unknown terrorists have taken over the facility...we have reports that [4] Weyland-Yutani employee's working inside the dam have been taken hostage by the terrorists. Their condition remains unknown, as the dam structure is a hardened building, even if gun shots had occured we'd never here them from out here...
Oh wait..as the news reporter looks behind her...just now arriving on seen is, could it be...YES! its Rotterdam's new counter terrorism unit...it looks like there getting ready to go in...a rather burly CT comes over and places hand over the camera...

I remember playing this map in CS 1.x version...so this past week I made a version of it...let the open air awp wars begin anew...but close combat is still needed.....
if you remember the original, you feel right at home...door works, vent's break...decals are plastered...have at it and enjoy!!!
in place of ladders, I used ramps instead...

| So I got the names mixed up...it never made sense anyway for them to call this map thunder...I always thought of it as rotterdam...
but hey..at least I got my first map right...cs_estate in an eariler post on here...
does anyone know if steam includes the *.vmf file for cs_assault map anywhere in the installation...there was a version I recall that provided a new way into the building via an underground route...that brough you up to the base of the ramp and you had a door to open up...?
I would hate to have to remake that entire map, just to have to add one section to it...

clubs: | Its definitely cs_rotterdam_css... if somone wants to make a de_rotterdam map..they can go for it...I don't recall how that map was laid out...

| I had a problem with the map name when i added it to the server. I had to add the _ver to the name cs_rotterdam_css_ver it would not let me download it with just cs_rotterdam_css

| I believe you are correct, I named the file[s]... _css_ver so that if by some chance in the future Steam developers ever released the original maps to CS:S...
there would not be a file name conflict and one would over write the other... so I wanted to be sure the file name was different from anything that steam developers might release in the future...
I think cs_thunder[for which my map is named after: rotterdam] was an original map as well as cs_estate...
So in the file list, once you unzip the files...as long as you have placed the .BSP file[whatever I called it] and the .NAV file[steam creates the NAV file for the map and should be the same name, but will have the .NAV extension] so that hosties will follow those brave CT's around the map...the rotterdam level should load and work just fine...
