too expensive

So DOCSIS 3.0 rollouts are increasing. Big whoop. Who's going to pony up the hideously high prices that we've been seeing so far, when the lower tiers are WAY more than adequate for the average user? VERY few people, that's who. Eventually they'll have to bring the premium down for the faster service. Why the ISP's don't just do this in the first place and shoot for a higher adoption rate is beyond me.

Cox offers it here in Arizona as of recently. I have a Moto SB6120, which I bought before it was officially supported. A few months later, suddenly my downstream channels were bonded, though my speed was virtually the same (about 24 mpbs, on their mid-priced tier). I just don't see many people ponying up for the huge cost for the highest speed tiers.

In a triple play bundle for Comcast, I only pay a $50/month premium for 50/10. Not horrible really. Actual cost-wise it comes out to about $75.00.
