While Charter's practices are typical of the cable industry, I must say I hope they survive as they actually have great service in this area. The internet speeds are good and consistent, and they have great customer service and not bad prices. If they go away, this area (160,000 people) will probably be without cable service at all since it is considered "rural" by some carriers and is apparently not worth giving high speed services to beyodn basic (slow ass) broadband. (Verizon, you suck.)

moon1234 @tds.net	The internet in my area is pretty stable. Video however is spotty. There have been at least three nights in the last 30 days where all digital and most analog channels have a frozen picture on the screen. Almost like some tech hit the freeze frame button and left it there for over three hours. I HATE charter's stupid on year pro stuff. It is such a pain in the butt to have to call in and threaten to leave in order for the price to stay sane. This year I may be tempted to just switch to Dish. If Charter did not act like a highway robber, I would feel better about them.
