| Grandstream echo
Sometimes our line echoes badly, particularly the first words on a call that I speak. We never had that problem with CallVantage. Is there any tweakable settings that might address this issue, or is it just a limitation of the GrandStream? -- AT&T U-Hearse Your funeral. Delivered.

Echo is caused by a rebroadcast of audio from the customer.s side, usually from a handset cranked up on volume. They can try turning down the handset volume, or we can further lower this value in the Grandstream itself. |

I concur when people bitch about it to me I turn down the headset and that usually takes care of the issue. I have had bad connections with echo, when that happens which is very rare, it usually clears itself up. If not I just hang up and call them back and all is good. PP has been so rock solid I can feel confident that it is my ISP. Don't know anyone that had problems with PP for it not to be the ISP or internet. |

| reply to PhonePower We have pretty generic Panasonic handsets (4 cordless handsets fed through a single base connected to the grandstream). I'll check to see if there's any way to modify the outbound volume. Thanks! -- AT&T U-Hearse Your funeral. Delivered.
