I heard Macca was the inspiration for this song...

I was told that one day, Pete (from The Who) was bummed out and walking around the attractions in Kearney NJ when he saw a little Maccawolf racking up the points on the local pinball machine. He stood their enthralled for hours and that night was inspired to write this song. ... or so I heard.

Kearny? Maybe you're thinking of some other place?

No no no. There was a "Very Special Dr. Phil" the other day where the discussion was about how playing pinball during her formative years is what made her such a ball buster.

Perhaps Macca could buy him some of that Activia girl yogurt to help set things right.
