Re: AT&T Pop-Ups = Annoying, but not that big of deal

It is a big deal, because give an inch take a mile - or however that phrase goes.

Once they see people as seeing this as acceptable behavior they will continue to increase the frequency and the annoyance factor.

Someone posted the e-mail address of the CEO and telephone number.

Please e-mail and call and complain - keep it professional, but make clear that this is unacceptable to be placing pop up ads on a service for which we are paying for.

Suggest that if they want to do it to give people a method to opt-out so they do not see the unwanted ads at all!

Here is the info ...

Randall Stephenson, AT&T CEO

randall.stephenson@att.com
phone: 210-351-5401 (direct to his secretary)
fax 210-351-3553
alternate phone: 210-821-4105 (headquarters, press 3, ask for Mr. Stephenson's office)

Clearly Stephenson isn't a geek (what CEO is?).

If my initials were "RS" I'd be all over the username "RS232"
...especially at my own damned company.
