You're right, it's not a sport. to call it a sport would be demeaning. It's so much more than a sport. "Sports" are grown men playing kids games and for some reason most of us stare at them with amazement. (I can't believe it! He hit the ball with the stick!! Hooray!) Auto racing is way more than that.
