Re: [IL] Connection issue - modem or line? Updating this so that people know what's going on - techs have come out twice so far. One crimped the line from the pole to the house, and the second one replaced the line from the outside to the splitter, the splitter itself, and the line from the splitter to the modem. I even tried a new modem, hoping that was the issue - no luck. Things are now worse than they've ever been - the internet is pretty much unusable.
We're going to have a tech come out AGAIN, which means we have to take off work AGAIN, and replace the line from the pole to the house, but we don't have much hope. Oh - we're also getting DSL, so that we can actually use this high-speed internet everyone keeps raving about.
Just letting people know what a nightmare Mediacom has become. |
