[SW Ontario] Business Enterprise Package

I recently upgraded to this package as my home based business does a lot of uploading and the occasional downloading. There was supposed to be an upload increase of 1.5mbit, however I am still receiving the same speed I was when I was on the previous 16/1 package (Business Edition) I usually get around 116kb/s max when uploading via ftp for instance. Should this be higher? Or am i just miscalculating?

Besides that, it's a great package however the price is rather steep but meh.
Thanks in advance.

It should be around 185 KB/Sec, you're talking about Cogeco's most expensive business package correct?

Yes, I am.
I haven't seen any increase whatsoever and there has even ben a recent modem swap as well as rewiring. The highest I have ever seen it go is 120kb/s max. When i was on the second highest package, it was at 116-118kb/s max.

Check your router's settings, it may still be locked at 1Mbit and may have to remeasure the connection.

When they updated standard to 1Mbit, I had manually set the upstream to 651 and wasn't get the full megabit. Usually, reseting your router allows it to remeasure.

If you're after upload speed you may want to investigate DSL and MLPPP. You can get ~20mb download and ~2.4mb upload for less than the enterprise package from cogeco. Doesn't hurt to check out the option if you're inclined to do so.

I would however when I spoke to Bell they said the maximum speed I could get in this area is 5mbit.
