Out of those 51, there are just five people not directly associated with a company Actually, some of those five are very closely bound to companies. Sascha Meinrath, for example, works for the New America Foundation, a DC lobbying group that is owned -- lock, stock and barrel -- by Google. (Its chairman is Google CEO Eric Schmidt.) What's more, there were several representatives -- including myself -- of small companies which are close to, and fight for the interests of, their customers.
