1 edit | Using Google Voice DID Hey guys! Is there any low cost and Reliable VoIP solution by integrating Google Voice DID so I wouldn't have to pay extra for the DID from the VoIP provider; so I would be just paying for the minutes I use.
I tried the whole GV-Gizmo5-sipsorcery for free but its very dodgy and unreliable so what would be my best choice? Thanks in advance. |

 | afaik, G5 is the only provider GV will SIP dial to.
btw, you can use any provider with the GV/SS setup. If I use CallCentric instead of G5, GV will hang up and perform a call-back to my line instead of making a seamless connection like it does with G5. |

1 edit | reply to amar11372 RockyBB's solution is worth considering.
CallCentric has did's in some area codes for $2.95/month that have free incoming minutes.
You can also get a free DID from IPKall in Washington state and forward it to your Future-Nine account.
Google Voice will send the call to any PSTN number, landline or cellphone. |

1 edit | reply to amar11372 Sipgate One also provides a free DID that you can forward your GV number to. Note that you should not fund your Sipgate account for any services because even if you do not use any the services Sipgate One will deduct a mandatory E911 fee. Just register for the account and use it for the free DID only! |

1. Get a free DID from IPKALL. 2. Get a free account from Callcentric with no DID. 3. Forward GV's DID to IPKALL's DID. 4. Forward IPKALL's DID to i.e. Callcentric's SIP URI.
That gives you totally free incoming and outgoing. I used this setup and it was very reliable. I am now using SipSorcery. SipSorcery is very reliable as long as you create a good Ruby dial plan. I found that to be a pain to learn since the documentation is all over the place. With them I have GV to G5 since it is all that is supported at the moment with their new GV dialer. I also pay a couple of bucks a month to Callcentric for 911. SipSorcery is not easy, but once you learn the in and out of the Ruby dial plan it is very reliable. I am still learning new tricks on dial plans and copying examples from their forum. I have all the examples saved in a documents and will integrate the parts I like in my dial plan. So far what I have is good and reliable. |

See, you can't have reliable and free in the same sentence. If you want reliable, get a DID from a good VoIP provider and pay for it. Google Voice->???->some provider is neither reliable nor good quality. Not a good solution if you want a real phone service. |

I now have SipSorcery integrated with Google Voice, Gizmo5, IdeaSIP, Voxalot, Sip Broker, iNum, eNum, and more. Once you get a handle on writing Ruby-based dialplans, SipSorcery is extremely powerful and reliable. |

 | reply to amar11372 The Sip Sorcery solution for dialing out with GV works flawlessly for me so far. I plan to install Sip Sorcery on a server incase the Sip Sorcery IP address is blocked by GV. |
