[Serious] What do you feed your woodchuck?

I know that this appears to be a very strange question for a woodchuck to be asking, but I am partial to porterhouse or rib eye with fries and a bowl of cucumbers in mayo on the side and I am not putting that on the ground, not even for another woodchuck.

My wife feels a need to feed every critter that comes into our yard and lately a wood chuck has been stopping by to feed on some of my weeds. My wife can't accept the fact that this guy is perfectly content to feed on what ever he can find and she feels that we should help him by offering him some food.

So, the question is, what do you feed the woodchucks that you have in your yard?

I "WOOD" think fruits & veggies would work. WOOD is not an option despite the fact it's in their name!

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

(Sorry, Howieh, you're a very "together" woodchuck, not a "wood chuck"--thanks to Maccwolf for helping me remember the saying--my brain just up and deserted me! )

Maybe some of those cucumbers, hold the mayo.
They will eat any sort of veg they can get their little paws on. They are particularly fond of sweet potato greens.
Why no, I'm not still angry about the year the 'chuck ate EVERY. SINGLE. SWEET. POTATO. VINE. out of my garden...no, not at all.

Green vegetation, such as grasses, clover, alfalfa, and plantain, forms the Woodchuck's diet; at times it will feed heavily on corn and can cause extensive damage in a garden.

maybe a nice bowl of corn chowder?

Don't know what to feed a Woodchuck (besides all the flowers in MY garden too), but we have a Wild Turkey every few days and in the beginning of the summer, I was feeding her Wild Bird seed. She seemed to like that. (so did every other critter known to man...LOL).
Dad didn't like me feeding her, so I stopped.

You come into my yard, Mr. Groundchuck, the closest you get to steak, and only if you butcher and grill 'em yourself, is mole meat. Is there such a thing as porterhouse or rib eye from moles?

And ... you are getting none of my jicama fries! I work too hard to peel and chop those monsters!

They are so much better than fries made from potatoes, though.

Lay off the Wild Turkey, wild birds don't come from seeds silly!

Jack would feed everything beans.

Without chilli's and beans there would be no reason to eat for Jack, and Nanners would not be gasping for air...

Direct from the mouth of the Humane Society, regarding what woodchucks eat:

They feed on grass, berries, fruits, vegetables, and cereal crops. Woodchucks are especially fond of peas, beans, and corn, and they will climb trees in pursuit of apples and pawpaws.

I'm good with all that but the grass, I mow that, and pawpaws don't grow 'round these parts

Thanks! Apples are easy enough.

I have a new critter, this morning my wife saw a duck on the ground under the bird feeders eating sunflower seeds. I've been feeding birds for a lot of years and never saw a duck near the feeders. I figured that this was a one time event but she came back this evening for more seeds.

Carrots and apples are plentiful and relatively cheap if you don't buy the expensive stuff...

We have lots of rabbits around here, I don't know what they live on, but they eat a lot of something!
