| [WotLK] Totc Normal
Just a quick question while I'm thinking about it. Do you have to be hit-capped to run Totc normal? Do you have to be for any of the normal instances in WOTLK?
I ask because my DK needs gear and this would be the quickest way to do it.
Thanks again. -- I think I just crit in my pants..... |

Like Bubba said if you are able to push 1k dps you'd be okay. Most of the time you'll find that half the group is over geared for it and are looking for 1-2 items and they'll carry you. -- I'd take the time to insult your intelligence, but you probably wouldn't get it. |

1 edit | Nah, we're linked through RAF. He's the tree to my bear but my bear's been 80 since before he started playing. We're just giving each other crap here like we do online ...usually after he failboats us.

| reply to Sytri I took my 78 hunter in the Reg ToC, no problem. I believe he was pushing around.. 1.1K?
Now, granted, a group of 78's would probably find it pretty tough.. but even low dps, blues/greens can pull off 1K DPS.. unless they just arent trying or aren't very smart.
(granted, Ranged DPS at low level is completely different than Melee DPS or Tank or Heal atlow level...) |

| reply to Sytri Well, went in and DPS'd last night. Got epic hands and boots from it. So slowly gearing up. Only got to run it twice and got nice drops both times.
Running it again later so fingers crossed I get more epics
Was pushing out about 1.3k which is good seeing as I usually tank and have no idea about a DPS rotation. -- I think I just crit in my pants..... |

| reply to Sytri I'll be running my Pally through there as dps once i get to level 78. I've ran regular around 5 to 7 times (can't recall exactly) and 90% of the gear was plate (mostly) and leather. Some mail peices and a weapon or two. One piece of crap cloth I couldn't use. The first heroic i ran i landed a nice dagger which was an upgrade, but no cloth.
The heroic mode you need some decent geared 80's. Its not easy sauce but not hard either imo. Not sure if other people do it, but after the jousting fight is done we all ran out of the instance for the bosses to reset in place so we could gather ourselves and tank them in an orderly fashion. |

| reply to Sytri Yeah Lock, other people do it. Drives me nuts, too. Maybe I just raid too much, but all you really have to do is drop all three of them pretty close to each other, so that it's easier for the tank to pick them up.
A little cooperation goes a long way, and this instance is pretty forgiving on that note, since if you do wipe, they wait for you to come back in and don't jump on their mounts again.
It's good training for people new to raiding, just for the cooperation bit.
Plus even if you die, as long as others are still up, you can fly on your ghostly gryphon right back in. -- When the ship lifts, all bills are paid. No regrets. |
