[Serious] Colin update, some great news!

Colin's cancer has not metastasized! Whoopie!

They now face whether or not to use Chemo and Radiation, or just Radiation. Both are going to be hellish for the little kid and come with severe dangers.

He may end up in Boston or Memphis, they are trying to determine the best choice as I write this. If God put me down here in Tennessee to serve little Colin, in the event they go to Memphis, I heartily volunteer.

I'll provide updates as they come. He did have a heart rate issue a few days ago. He still has bad diarrhea which they are applying some inventive remedies to. His hearing test was inconclusive, but it appears evident that he has lost hearing in his one ear.

I'll update more when they come to a decision on what they will do.

Thanks to all of you from the bottom of my heart.

On another note, one of my boy's classmates just died from Dengue Fever, something that mommy and I are horrified of. Mosquitoes spread it and it isn't unlike Malaria, but is perhaps worse.

Colin still has a long, hard road ahead but it's wonderful the cancer hasn't spread.

I am happy to hear that the little guy is beginning to pull ahead of this thing- the lack of spread of the cancer is wonderful.

I look here several times a day hoping to see some good news about little Colin. Praise God the cancer hasn't metastasized!

Will be praying as he goes through the next tough hurdle of treatment.

Just got a call from my brother. Some more news that will generate some excitement:

There are three places where Colin might get treatment and they have to chose, but they have learned about some amazing trials being conducted that have proven effective for certain types of cancer.

It was a lot for me to take in and I have some learning to do, but he told me about a girl that was literally cured by one such trial in an amazinig way. It involved using cells harvested from her mom. The little girl had a pretty severe case of cancer, too.

My brother said you won't hear about this stuff in the news because it is too cutting edge and still too soon to publicize I guess.

When they post more I will report. Godspeed my dear nephew!
