Fallen Earth: is it worth checking out?

I have been watching Fallen Earth over the last couple weeks. www.fallenearth.com.

The NDA lifted yesterday, 8/17/09. Can anyone provide some insight on the game, please? I've been checking the official forums and some other sites, but info is still pretty limited right now, so I thought I'd check here.

I've been playing MMORPGs for about 5 years. Most of my experience is with WoW, LOTRO, AoC, a little WAR, and currently ROM. I realize FE is a totally difference concept, one more of sci-fi than medieval, so the change would be a welcome one if the game seems worth it.

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

I played a bit a few months ago. While the game could be amazing, and it has lots of potential - It currently just isn't that fun IMO. There just isn't enough content, and it's still really buggy.

Seems like that is the current consensus. Well, I don't mind playing ROM, but I'm not overly hip on the CS (cash shop) type gaming.

I also have my eye on Aion. Maybe I need to give that a closer look too.

I have (had) been in the closed beta for a long long time, since around January. I never actually got to see the game itself.

Every time I decided I finally had time to check it out, the server was down or the server wouldn't let me log in. I finally just gave up and uninstalled the client.
