[T-Mobile] Wow! That's good customer service

My blackberry started having problems last week - it would just randomly shut itself down and I had to pull the battery wait a bit then reinstall the battery and wait until it booted itself up. This was very annoying and I finally got fed up and called T-Mobile on Monday to find out what could be done about the problem.

The CS rep had me check a few things then said they would replace the phone. She said it would take 5 to 7 days to receive the replacement. It didn't take 5 to 7 days it took one day - the new phone showed up yesterday about 4 PM, and it was shipped UPS ground.

I don't know where the phone was shipped from - but it must have been very close. Most companies can't even process an order in one day much less get it processed, get UPS notified, and have shipping send it out. That usually takes most companies three days.

So T-Mobile gets a gold star from me.

I remember they have a location in TN, but you can always plug in the tracking number on the box.

If you called after around 10 am that day it wouldn't have gone out until the next day, and just be glad UPS didn't sit on the package as they could have. I've had UPS sit on a package during busy seasons to leave room in the truck for the larger, and rush packages.

You lucked out on UPS Ground being in your zone. More than likely, T-mobile shipped out your replacement phone from Georgia, which is in the same zone as Alabama... UPS Ground takes 1 day for the same zone!

You are right - the return label had a Georgia address. That's still pretty amazing to me. I don't usually expect 1 day shipping from across town (unless you use a bicycle messenger).
