| reply to GhostDoggy Re: COD:MW2 Q's
You know, I don't really use Juggernaut because I find it replaces other more valuable perks, such as sleight of hand or things like that, but... I sure find people complain about it a lot. It doesn't unbalance the game or anything, if anything I find it helps balance it. I've been there too, you line a guy up, aim at his face with your sniper rifle of choice and bam! Right in the face... only to see the red cross come up. It's super annoying when you're sniping and it now takes two direct hits to drop a dude, but it's not a big deal. I find that good games always have classes that work, but you can also make a class that can counter that just as well.
Don't really have a point here, just found it annoying how much people complain about Juggernaut... I say... just shoot them again! lol Besides in hardcore, juggernaut and stopping power don't really make any difference. Just in TDM really.
However, all that aside, MW2 looks amazing! I like the Modern combat more than the WW2 combat, only because that's become stale really. They also seem to have really bumped up the game quite a bit since MW.

| reply to GhostDoggy co-op would be nice. playin along with friends is hella fun (L4D).
when is the demo coming out? i'm curious if i'm going to have the same gun stutter, and acquire/shoot/die first problems i have with MW, and WAW.
hope they revamp the netcode on this one. if not, i'm going to be the pacifist flag carrier with a 0.00 k/d ratio lol. and before anyone asks, my connection (15/2) is solid. -- "Funny thing, there use to be a time when that was enough." Jim Ignatowski |

| reply to GhostDoggy Clutch head, I don't mean to suspect your connection as I'm sure it's fine. However, maybe it's a routing thing. As in where your provider routes your traffic. Your ping time is the only thing that matters on games, throughput means nothing really unless you're hosting.
I've switched from one 15/1 connection (DSL) to a 15/1 connection (cable) and I've found that the cable, in my area at least gives me much lower pings in general. Even though both were giving me a solid down and up throughput rate.
I know you know what I'm talking about, not saying you wouldn't, but I just know from my past experience that even though the throughput is good, it doesn't always mean that the connection is gonna be that great on gaming.
However, sometimes you just get a crappy host. Not sure how COD figures out who hosts, because sometimes when the host leaves and it finds a new host... it sure can pick wrong sometimes! |

1 edit | Well, can't really blame them. I mean they have a winning formula already...they could add a few guns to COD4 and people would still buy it. That being said, I am 100% certain that this game will rock.
Speaking of which, has anyone seen the latest "Infamy" trailer? Totally bad ass:

1 edit | Yes, the formula works, however IMO it would benefit from beta testing because I highly doubt they have modders testing their game for exploits (not saying they're not checking for them). But yeah, it's IW's game and they're gonna make it how they want.
Saw the Washington Monument in it and it reminded of the one from Fallout 3, some shocking but cool stuff they have going into that game.

1 edit | reply to GhostDoggy the co-op is going to be separate from the campaign. as Laughing Man stated it's going to be 2 players max. 4+ players would have been cooler. also why no co-op in the campaign? would be nice when your stuck to have a live squad help ya out.
are the choppers going to be indestructible (small arms) like in MW? don't like that at all. also don't like the infinite gunners that spawn in them. speaking of spawning, don't like the infinite spawning of enemies. feels kinda pointless to get kills when your pinned down. a new guy just takes his place not that you'll be pinned down long with the nades raining down lol.
also would feel more realistic if light bulbs broke lol.

yeah sometimes it picks someone that has a telegraph wire for internet lol. saw a video where the host left a MW2 game and it finds a new host in game, rather than going to the lobby. that would be a big improvement. unfortunately, many people have strict connections.
going to borrow and try before i buy this one.

| reply to GhostDoggy said by GhostDoggy :Ok, I'm guessing someone was wrong when they told me MW2 was being done by another studio. Good to hear about the Coop, though. I wonder if it'll support more than 4 players. The 2 studios that develop COD takes turns every year or every other release. So if they follow standard protocol the next release should be done by the other game studio. -- "I have taught you many ways to kill a man. Flesh that burns, bones that break... | pc gamers a pretty upset at Infinity Ward as well. they are not going to allow dedicated servers. dedicated servers on consoles (rainbow six) should be in more games. i have a second 360 i would love to use as a dedicated server.
