Can't get online- Directed to "Walled Garden" site

Does anyone know what it means when all of a sudden one day you try to browse the web and you're directed to »memberservices.optonline.net/gar···den.html

I know my bill is paid. I haven't changed my modem or anything. What does this mean?

I'm on the web through a wireless aircard now.

Edit: I found this »en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walled_gar···ology%29

Apparently OOL doesn't know my modem? I've had the same modem for years and I always pay my bill on time. Call me paranoid but does this mean they're snooping on your internet activity?

Look like an overall outage from Cablevision. Their support phone number for the Bronx is totally jammed by calls. I am able to get back online now but with very slow speed (30KB/s)

Edit: Can only access dslreports.com. Other sites got blocked with the "Walled Garden"

There's been a lot of weather up here in the northern burbs. That could account for some of the problems.

No, not related to te weather. Strictly Cablevisions's fault. See:
