What's doable speed-wise in Verizon territory? Is there any easy way to bond multiple lines?

It depends on the capabilities of the CO. Up to 7 megs is available in certain areas. It is funny you should ask about bonding. I was playing with some lines today and not having much luck in that department. Apparently it won't support PPPoE. Load balancing is possible or if you have an endpoint with gobs of bandwidth you can tunnel using Mikrotik to take advantage of more.

Okay, so the big difference between buying direct from VZ and buying this way would be resell-ability? Fair enough.

I'm sure we'll have 7 Mbps DSL available at least on shorter loop lengths. Verizon is grooming their system from what I heard and the DSLAM was just put in a few weeks ago, so pretty much guaranteed to be ADSL2+ based though Verizon doesn't sell any DSL faster than 7M.

It really depends more on what capacity they are bringing in. Case and point, in my office our lines tested good at 9 megs. However, Verizon won't give us more than 3.
