| I would like to officially vote for Xplornet to be the WORST I've been with Xplornet for a long and painful 2.5 years now, I will be SO happy once my contract is over.
I am currently paying for their "3mbps" package however a speed test usually rings up around 0.01 - 0.02mbps... I am getting LESS THAN 1% of my "payed-for rate"... In all honesty this is the worst ISP I've ever been with. Playing video games online I ALWAYS have a steady ping of about 3500ms. which for anyone who plays games knows is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!
We crash about every 5 minutes, one minute the internet is up and the next it's down, and it happens every 5 minutes AT LEAST (I AM NOT EXADURATING!)
The people at Xplornet should be charged for theft.
Lets put it this way.... If you went into a Car dealership, and purchased a car. and they gave you a dirty old tire and said "okay enjoy your day, bye" WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Because that's basically what xplornet does and has been doing for some time now.
Their internet is useless, their customer service is useless. I call them and ask for some support they just go through their stupid book of questions with things like "Do you have any other wireless devices in the house hold that may affect your wireless dish". It's gotten to the point now where when I tell them my "customer ID #" they just transfer me straight to the "Level 2 technicians" which usually listen to what I have to say, then say "okay thanks we'll forward this on to the level 3 technicians"... and that's it. Whenever we have a serviceman come to the house to check on our equipment he says "oh it's fine, it's just our end, unfortunatly we can't do anything at this time" ...
I am fully disgusted with this internet and it is a complete rip off. Once my 3-year term is up I will be switching to Dial up because unfortunately that is the only other type of ISP service out here where I live.
I REALLY hope the government slaps some regulations on what ISP's give their customers. I'm sure when they do Xplornet will be OUT of business.
Note: To anyone who is thinking of choosing Xplornet as an ISP, DON'T! You'll have better service sticking to Dial up than going to these guys..
