<description><![CDATA[JHB posted : As others have stated, make sure you have signal coming in upstairs. Also, cable modems require a certain amount of signal to get a "lock". The ideal transmit in my area is 32db -52dbs. If the outlet upstairs is on the last splitter or the highest db lost port then your TX is more than likely out of specs. <description><![CDATA[nijave posted : We moved our cable modem from one side of the living room to the other and it stopped working. We called Time Warner/Road Runner and they told us they'd check it out.<br><br>Anyway, the modem requires a very strong signal and there were 2 splitters in the way (where the other side it was split once off the main line in). They put an electric amplifier/splitter in the attic and replaced all the other splitters with higher powered ones. That solved the problem and it was all free. I'd call the company up and see if they can look into it. The TV may look fine, but there may not be good enough of a signal.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Santa Fe posted : Hmmmm....weird.  Are the two upstairs connections getting a signal?  Have you tried connecting a TV to both to see if you get a picture? <description><![CDATA[anon posted : I live in an townhouse apartment complex.  Downstairs, the cable modem is able to connect to the Internet, but when I move the cable modem upstairs (where I really want it), it no longer connects.<br><br>There are two coaxial connections upstairs and neither are able to connect online.  I don't know how I can solve this issue.<br><br>Any help would be appreciated.]]></description>
