I've tested it and it works perfectly. It provides thumbnail previews in Windows Explorer, configured Media Center integration, and allows streaming to an XBox 360 via the Media Center blade option. It also offloads all processing to your GPU, depending on the model you have of course. My HTPC has an nVidia 8600GS and it offloads by default.
I've tested it on Windows 7 x64 and it works perfectly, so I would imagine that x32 would work just as well.
