Extremely slow connections, please help.

I used to get a decent time with my internet connection but over time it just gets slower, I'm downloading all of a sudden at 4kb/s. Apparently it's a high ping problem. How would one go about fixing that or even relay that to customer service?

Hard to say. My first thought is there have been some undersea cable breaks, four of them, that have been affecting connections in Asia.

I live in the Philippines and have been experiencing lower that normal bandwidth on occasions. Since around the first of August. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not.

Yep, that's right.

There has been multiple submarine cable breaks near Taiwan affecting Asia.

You will notice higher than normal latency during this time (if your online activity is out of country) as the routing is going via alternate paths instead of the optimal (or main) one. It's in the process of being repaired, but it's no easy task.

I suggest you wait for another month or so.
